Growing Together Northampton Launch

I was delighted to attend the merger launch of Growing Together and Blackthorn Good Neighbours. The two charitable organisations, who do fantastic work in the east of Northampton, will now be officially joined and known as “Growing Together Northampton”.

The group run both Blackthorn Community Centre & the Blackthorn Good Neighbours Nursery who were recently awarded outstanding in their first Ofsted. As well as supporting some great local projects, Growing Together were also crucial in the formation of the local Neighbourhood Plan which was adopted by Northampton Borough council last year.

At the event there was great support from many other partner organisations and it was fantastic to hear about their continuing aspirations for the future. Our county Councillor, Andrew Kilbride was also in attendance, who like myself is keen to continuing to support Growing Together Northampton with their work.
